Marco Simonetti is a footwear designer, specialized in the creative direction, design and product development. He was born and raised in Jesi, in the vicinity of the well-known footwear industry hub in the Marche region. After graduating from the Polimoda Fashion Marketing and Design Institute in Florence, in 2005 Simonetti then began his professional career with Tod’s Group and Clarks International. Upon his return from Great Britain he founded OS branding and design, with branch offices in Italy and in the United States. As head designer, Simonetti honed his technical and stylistic competences as well as his managerial skills through close collaboration with companies operating on a global level.
Over the years, Marco Simonetti has demonstrated his capacity for growth by developing distinctive skills in creative direction, trend forecasting, theme building, and concept generation as well as in the design and management of the technical processes of product development at production centers, not only in Italy but also worldwide.
These are competences that are reflected in the opportunities he is able to offer his clientele, that can be footwear companies already operating on the market or companies interested in expanding their brand in the footwear sector.
Marco Simonetti’s passion, love of authenticity and respect for his roots are just some of his distinguishing characteristics. They are what drive him on a daily basis and feed his creative process that finds its inspiration in the classic footwear traditions of his native land and its sublimation in modern design, to yield results that are viable both conceptually and commercially.
Each project follows a path of realization that begins with an idea which, thanks to passion and experience, is transformed into a practical solution. The mind represents the starting point of a journey towards the foot – the destination – by way of the heart and hands. Each and every time it is a new journey, a new story to invent.
The ability to foresee, to constantly research and innovate, to tell a story, to provide an emotional experience through the tale that is told even before the product is made: these are the key factors that help build relationships with one’s clients, guiding them along yet unexplored pathways.
